Ok, I admit it. I have become obsessed with Pinterest lately. In my quest to find tactile activities for my blind daughter, I have found a plethora of really great sensory bin ideas, which inspired me to create my own based on my love of stories. Of course, my first bin had to be centered on our all-time favorite fairy tale around here, Cinderella.
Here's my list of materials
I wanted to add our Prince Charming figure in there too, but, alas (like real life) the prince always seems to be hard to find. Here is a close-up look:
- Baking dish or bin (should have used my pretty blue, glass casserole dish)
- Star-shaped dry pasta
- Colorful plastic gems
- Tiny fashion-doll shoe
- Small play castle
- Cinderella figure (for a less Disneyfied look, try wooden peg dolls or handmade finger puppets)
- Plastic costume jewelry
- Miniature toy horse
- Tiny fairy doll
- Small toy wand
- Wooden pumpkin top
